In 2011, Chengdu attracted investment from 11 Fortune Global 500 companies, including USA's Flextronics, France's AXA and Germany's KFW, hitting a new high.
● By the end of 2011, 207 Fortune Global 500 companies had set up branches or subsidiaries in Chengdu. Of them, 160 are foreign companies, and 47 are domestic ones. In terms of the number of such companies, Chengdu continued to rank first among central and western Chinese cities.
● The investment of these Fortune Global 500 companies in Chengdu is mainly concentrated in advanced manufacturing and high-end services, involving more than ten industries, such as electronic information, auto mechanics, new energy, new materials, finance and commerce. In terms of such companies' investment amount and coverage, Chengdu ranks first among western Chinese cities.

Executives of 67 Fortune Global 500 companies, such as Intel, Dell, Compal, Carrefour, China Aviation Industry Corporation and China South Industries Group, gathered together in Chengdu. They sat around a table, sharing good news, talking about achievements that they had made in Chengdu, and looking forward to bright prospects in the city's new round of development.
