A New Century for Chengdu-Japan Software and Service Outsourcing Cooperation
As the operating and managing party of Chengdu Tianfu Software Park, Chengdu Tianfu Software Park Co., Ltd organized a series of software and service outsourcing conferences at home and aboard over the past year. The introductory meeting, which was held in Bangalore, India last October with “Chengdu, your first stop in China” as its theme, was warmly welcomed by local enterprises. Software companies, training institutions, and the Indian media showed great interest in Chengdu. Later, a number of enterprises paid visits to Chengdu while packs of Indian mainstream media outlets including Times of India and Hindustan Times extensively covered the cooperation between Chengdu and Bangalore. During that time, Chengdu became the hot topic of India's software, outsourcing, education, and training industries. In February this year, along with a delegation of 50 representatives, the Mayor of Chengdu, Guo Honglin visited Bangalore for the second time, and in the meantime, Chengdu-Bangalore direct air route was officially launched. L Lately, Chengdu has been regarded as the top choice by Indian companies, which intend to enter the Chinese market.
Following the successful exploitation of European and American markets, and the breakthrough in the Indian market, the embedded software seminar would trigger the cooperation between Japan and Western China in the development of software and service outsourcing. The general manager of Al-Coach Japan, Tsukasa Kochi, stated that he was very optimistic about the cooperation between Japan and Western China in the fields of software, service outsourcing, and training. In Japan there is a great demand for tech talents each year, and enterprises’ demand for cost reduction has increased dramatically after the financial crisis; therefore redirecting their business to cost-effective regions, which possess a large number of personnel, would be unavoidable. He also expressed that he was pleasantly surprised by the favorable environment and the highly developed IT atmosphere of Chengdu.
